Someone suggested on my Substack Town Hall last night that we should hold a daily prayer. For those of you interested, please join us every day at 4 PM West Coast, 7 PM East Coast. Some days you’ll remember and some days you won’t, but do try ; even a moment of leaning in with your heart will contribute to its power. A Course in Miracle says “Prayer is the medium of miracles.”

There are no wrong or right words to say. Just put your heart, your country and your world in the hands of God.

Dear God,
We are at this moment
tempted to despair.
Fear plagues us
As we watch destruction
We had not thought possible.
In our country and around the world ,
There is so much suffering and so much pain.
Please pour forth Your Spirit
On people and animals and the Earth itself.
We know You know what has gone awry.
Nullify the danger of malevolent forces.
Protect our freedom,
and dismantle the work of those who would destroy it.
Bless all people
and return us to our right minds.
We need a miracle, dear God.
Help us rejoice in what is still yet possible.
Guide our thoughts and guide our footsteps
Purify our hearts that we might see .
