ON THIS DAY 8 YEARS AGO...

We promised to love each other forever. ❤

We shared our first kiss as husband and wife. 💏

We celebrated our love with friends and family. 🥂

We enjoyed one of the most beautiful days of the season. ☀️🍂

We partied in a castle. 🏰 ( )

We danced the night away. 💃🕺

We chose each other as partners for life. 👫

I could go on and on about how magical our wedding day was, but words and pictures could not fully express the feelings and emotions from that day.

October 11, 2013 was one of the best days of my life. It's the day I married my best friend. It's the day we decided to officially commit to sharing our journey through life together.

I know a piece of paper doesn't mean as much as our love, but it symbolizes the decision we made to stick together and that brings me so much joy. 💕

Here's to many more years of love, happiness, and adventures. Cheers to us! 🥂

HOW DO YOU DEFINE HEROISM?

Is it selflessness?
Is it strength?

Heroism encapsulates all these attributes.

A quick Google search provides several meanings:
..the qualities of a hero. (Of course!)..putting others first, even at your own peril...great bravery.

I believe heroism comes in many forms. Like most things in life, it's all a matter of relativity and perception.

To many animals found in poor living conditions and/or abusive situations are heroes. We had the privilege of visiting this safe haven for animals in Kaggevinne, Belgium during our EuroTrip in the first half of 2019. We captured many smiles that day. Not just from us and our friends , but from many of the incredibly happy animals that were given a second chance at life thanks to Forrest and Friends. Swipe to see smiles! 🐦🐷🐮🐑🙂
