🌿 Join us for Part II of our FREE Nature Journaling Workshop with Teaching Artist Larry Jackson.⁣

On Saturday, July 11, we invite you to explore nature journaling here in the Museum’s garden, in connection with our current exhibition, James Prosek: Memory, Trees & Shadows. ⁣

In our first session in June, we explored the landscape of River Hook Preserve. This time, Larry Jackson will lead us on an exploration of the Museum's own backyard.⁣

Gather natural elements to create your own handmade nature journal, then use watercolor, cut paper, and more to capture the beauty and meaning of the things you find.⁣

All materials will be provided. Just bring your imagination!⁣

👨‍👩‍👧 Ages 5 and up. Children must be accompanied by a parent, adult, or guardian.⁣

📅 Sat, July 11, 1-3pm

This week's photographs in our series explore one of Edward Hopper's most enduring themes: solitude.⁣

On view in the Hopper Happens Juried Photography Exhibition, the work of 55 photographers from 11 U.S. states and 11 countries reflects Hopper's enduring influence on artists around the world.⁣

Whether alone in a café, waiting in a theater, riding a train, or sitting quietly in a room, these photographs capture moments of solitude that feel both personal and universal.⁣

Like Hopper's paintings, they leave space for interpretation, suggesting that solitude isn't always loneliness. It can also be reflection, anticipation, stillness, or simply being present.⁣

Explore all 55 photographs with a self-guided walking tour through downtown Nyack using the Museum's Bloomberg Connects guide, or experience the exhibition online from anywhere. Many of the works are also available for purchase through ArtCall.

On view throughout the summer. ⁣⁣
