Over the past several weeks, we've shared information about our library, our community's growth, and what a future library could mean for O'Fallon. In this final post, we're answering some of the most common questions we've heard throughout the process—from costs and timelines to what happens next.
No matter your perspective, we appreciate everyone who has taken the time to ask questions, attend meetings, and be part of the conversation.

📚 Help Support Your Library — Adopt-a-Shelf!
The Friends of the O’Fallon Public Library are excited to bring back the Adopt-a-Shelf Program and are looking for volunteers to help keep our library organized, welcoming, and accessible for all patrons.
Volunteers are asked to commit to an average of two (2) hours per week and will be assigned a section of the library to care for.
Tasks include:
📚 Arranging books in the correct order
🧹 Dusting and cleaning shelves
✨ Helping keep the collection neat and inviting
No experience is necessary—training will be provided.
Whether you're a regular library visitor, a student looking for service opportunities, or simply someone who loves books, we'd love to have you participate.
📞 To learn more or sign up, stop by the front desk or call 618-632-3783 and leave your name and phone number. Ann or Diane will contact you.
