Tonight’s City Council meeting was filled with special recognitions and celebrations for members of the Oak Ridge North team and community leadership.

Congratulations to Lt. Craig on his promotion within the Police Department, and welcome to our newly sworn-in officers as they took their Oath of Office to begin serving the Oak Ridge North community.

We also recognized two employees for 20 years of dedicated service to the City:
• Lt. Ralph Craig – Police Department
• Luis Barcenas – Public Works Department

Additionally, Certificates of Election were presented to Mayor Paul Bond and Council Members Rick Moffatt and Alex Jones as they begin their new terms serving the residents of Oak Ridge North.

The City also welcomed John Planchard and Bruce Bernhoft, who were officially sworn in to serve on the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) Board.

Thank you to each of these individuals for their dedication, leadership, and continued service to our community. Congratulations to all recognized this evening!

Montgomery County Mobility Plan Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC), in partnership with Montgomery County, is developing a county-wide transportation plan for Montgomery County. This includes an 18 - month study and public engagement process that will connect across the four Montgomery County

☀️ Playground Closure Notice – Marilyn Edgar Park ☀️

The Marilyn Edgar Park playground area only will be temporarily closed beginning Saturday 4/18/26 at 8:00 AM through Tuesday 4/21/26 afternoon as we complete important park updates.

During this time, crews will be:
🌿 Removing existing material and installing new engineered wood fiber under the playground
🧹 Performing deep cleaning and general maintenance
🌸 Updating and beautifying the flower beds

💚 We are especially grateful to a local youth group for partnering with us and helping take on this project. Your hard work and dedication to our community are truly appreciated!

🌳 The remainder of the park will remain open and available for use during this time.

We appreciate your patience as we work to enhance the park for our community and can’t wait to welcome you back to an improved play space soon!
