Today's event in Emily's honor started early with a brunch buffet fit for a queen. Baked stuffed French toast, fresh fruit, berries and yogurt, Faro salad, herb poached chicken, frittata, chicken apple sausage and potatoes.

Great start to a girl's weekend for a great group of ladies.

Anniversary wine and appetizer party yesterday in Novato. Perfect weather and a lovely group of guests. In addition to the appetizers the host bought cupcakes, and not any cupcakes, the prettiest cupcakes I've ever seen so I tagged in San Rafael to give them the kudos they deserve.

Casual family birthday get together. Kale salad, pasta pomodoro, preserved lemon roasted chicken and roasted veggies.

Birthday celebration Monday. Mezze platter with latkes, pickled veggies, smoked salmon, pate and caviar, followed by a chicory salad, Chateaubriand with horseradish mashed potatoes, dill and buttered carrots and caramelized onion sauce and finally strawberry pavlova for dessert.

April is bringing some much appreciated work. Last night was a dinner party in SF. Many more to come.
