The Texas Trees Foundation is thrilled to announce a $25 million investment from the State of Texas to support the Southwestern Medical District Transformation Project – a visionary public-private initiative to reimagine over two miles of the Harry Hines Corridor in the heart of Dallas’s medical district.

Thanks to legislative champions like State Senator Royce West, Representative Rafael Anchía, Senator Tan Parker, Representatives Morgan Meyer and Angie Chen Button, State Representative Venton Jones and others, this funding accelerates a bold plan to:

Advance critical infrastructure
Combat urban heat with 4,000+ trees

Create an 8-acre Green Park oasis

Spring has officially arrived! As the northern hemisphere celebrates the Vernal Equinox (at precisely 11:06 pm EST), Hyphae Design Labs is ready to come out of social media hibernation. We have been VERY busy since our last posting and want to catch you up! Stay tuned over the coming weeks and months for more spring blooms. The Vernal Equinox, meaning equal night, signifies longer brighter days, the energy of rebirth and awakening, and the team at Hyphae are gearing up for a season of growth 🌱. “Light is a thing that cannot be reproduced, but must be represented by something else - by color.” - Cezanne. An apt quote for the video teaser. The simulation is from a project in the Southwest Medical District of Dallas. This technicolor model shows the Sun simulated over the course of 24 hours on July 12th, an intensely hot day last year. To do this, we use LiDar to develop a digital twin and then simulate various scenarios. We then ground truth the models with microclimate sensors.
