🔥 GOOD NEWS on the Spay/Neuter front: AB-1733 was signed into law this week. This 'License and Registration Renewal: Continuing Education Bill' gives CA veterinarians incentive to offer up 4hrs of free spay/neuter work as part of their regular continuing education requirements needed to renew their license. Bill language in comments.

Four hours of help every two years doesn't sound like much, but with approx 10K DVMs in CA, that could add up to 20K hours of free-to-the-public surgeries per year. That's alotta dogs.

As you can guess, we're already rubbing our hands together and making plans with vet partners to put this in motion.. By partnering, NPOs like ours can offer yet more incentive so vets know that their work will reach some of the most critical need in the community. EXCITING!
