When we unite in struggle, stay disciplined in action, and invest in each other’s safety, health, and joy, we can defeat the authoritarian, mass-surveillance, conservative agenda that is threatening our future.

We will win. And it starts with education.

Our Oakland tax dollars are being handed to some of the most dangerous companies in the entire world. It’s infuriating to watch city leaders continue investing in technology that enables mass surveillance and supports authoritarian violence and oppression across the globe. And no — the fact that other Western governments use these tools does not make them ethical or acceptable.

Thank you to Carroll Fife for standing up for Oakland residents and for people facing repression worldwide.

The surveillance agenda is moving fast, and there’s another opportunity to resist peregrine at tomorrow’s Board of Supervisors meeting.
