CRC is launching a new weekly series built around one powerful idea: art as a tool.

Art is not just something to be admired. It is something to be used. It can be used to inspire people, challenge conditions, tell the truth, build community, express love, create change, and move people toward action.

That is the spirit behind Art as a Tool.

Art as a Tool: Insights is a weekly interview series featuring artists who are shaping culture and making a real impact through their work. Through these conversations, we want to better understand how artists use their creativity with purpose and how art functions beyond entertainment.

Art can be a tool of revolution.
Art can be a tool of change.
Art can be a tool of love.
Art can be a tool of service.
Art can be a tool of healing.
Art can be a tool of transformation.

The expression may change, but the principle remains the same: art as a tool.

This trailer is an introduction to the series and to the conversations ahead. Each week, we will spotlight a different artist and explore how they use art as a tool in their life, in their work, and in their influence on the culture.

THE BLACK SOLIDARITY AGENDA

We are building a unified, self determined path forward for Black people rooted in the 9 Areas of Self Determination.

Self Defense and Safety
We have the right and duty to protect our people. We are replacing punitive, chaotic systems with community accountability, stability, and defense.

Economics and Prosperity
We are creating a regenerative, collaborative economy that ends exploitation and fuels Black prosperity, creativity, and ownership.

Education and Competence
We are building independent systems of learning, research, and journalism that develop leadership, innovation, and community power.

Family Systems and Stability
We are replacing destructive programming with intentional, principled systems that strengthen families, nurture children, and foster self governance.

Traditions and Ways
We embrace the power of our spiritual and cultural traditions. No single pathway only what brings us peace, power, and collective strength.

Technology and Efficacy
We must innovate, build, and control the technologies that shape our future instead of simply consuming them.

Art and Media
We uplift and resource Black creativity that produces authentic, empowering images of our people.

Politics and Governance
We must exert power wherever it is expressed, extracting what we can from existing systems while building new, independent democratic institutions.

Health and Wellbeing
We are healing from generations of medical neglect by creating systems rooted in dignity, research, innovation, and community care.

A five phase organizing process that builds power from the ground up.

Sector → City → State → National → International

Through listening sessions and solution building across the 9 Areas, each level sends representatives to the next, building a coordinated, scalable structure for Black self determination.
