What does catalytic climate capital unlock for small businesses?

For Family Laundry in Oakland, a climate-focused loan from Pacific Community Ventures helped bridge a critical financing gap moving their energy efficient and EV infrastructure project from planning to ex*****on.

As their pickup-and-delivery business expanded across the Bay Area, demand outpaced infrastructure. PCV’s financing, alongside an ecosystem of partners, enabled the development of a dedicated EV charging hub supporting up to 17 electric delivery vehicles, while creating the foundation for good jobs, AI-enabled operational improvements, and long-term business growth.

The result: reduced emissions, improved operational efficiency, and a stronger foundation for continued growth and good jobs creation.

This is what catalytic capital makes possible, turning climate ambition into working infrastructure for a small business owner and community.

📣PCV’s 2025 Annual Impact Report is live.

Over the past year, we worked alongside entrepreneurs, workers, funders, advisors, and community partners to help small businesses grow stronger and create better jobs in the communities that need them most, work that also marks the first public benchmark in PCV’s path toward 2030.

-$100 million in restorative capital
-mobilize $30 million in energy efficiency financing
- help create 100,000 good and green jobs.

The progress highlighted in this report lays the foundation for that vision. Inside is a look at how mission-driven capital, strong partnerships, and worker-centered innovation helped our small business clients, improve job quality, and expand economic opportunity in communities too often left behind.

You’ll find stories from entrepreneurs, insights from the Good Jobs Innovation Lab, and a look at how tools like PCV’s new Radiant Data Hub + ethical AI work are shaping the future of ethical impact measurement.

To our funders, partners, and collaborators: thank you for helping make this work possible. This is the just transition that our country and our economy sorely needs to fulfill its potential.
