Since the dawn of FM radio in the homes, KPFA has been ever vigilant in bringing uncompromising programing to the airwaves. Created by Lew Hill and a band of pacifists, KPFA quickly realized that by not relying on big business underwriting or government sponsorship they could bring forth unfiltered news and commentary that would only be beholden to the listeners. This grand experiment in community partnership has been witness to decades of conflict, change and progress, but thanks to you, we’re not done yet!
