‼️‼️ 3 PIGGIES VET UPDATE ‼️‼️

💥💥UPDATE ON DUMPED PIGGIES💥💥

Sorry it took us a little while to post an update! I’ve been juggling life as a new mom while also running the rescue. ❤️

Today, S’mores, KitKat, and Batman all had their vet appointments!

🤍 White Abby Girl (S’mores) : Great news—she isn’t pregnant after all! She’s just a healthy, chubby little lady and received a clean bill of health.

🤎 KitKat: We were especially concerned about her teeth since, before being dumped, she had been surviving on a diet of rice and bread. Thankfully, she’s in excellent health! Now that she’s been cleared by the vet, we can begin introducing her to some of our girls to hopefully find her the perfect friend.

🖤 Batman: Our sweet senior gentleman is definitely an old man! The vet estimates he’s around 6–8 years old. We truly feel he couldn’t have landed in a better place, where we can make sure he’s comfortable for the rest of his life.

Batman’s incisors were a little overgrown, so we had them trimmed during his visit. Thankfully, he was such a good boy that the procedure was done without sedation!

Because of his labored breathing, we also decided to take chest X-rays to evaluate his heart. The good news is that his heart looks great and his lungs sounded clear. The X-rays did show significant arthritis in his hips and elbows, along with a small amount of age-related fibrosis in his lungs. Fortunately, nothing indicated a serious lung condition that would explain his breathing. At this point, we believe his abnormal breathing is most likely related to the pain and discomfort from his arthritis. Because of this, Batman will remain on pain medication for the rest of his life to keep him as comfortable and happy as possible.

He was an absolute superstar during his appointment and kept receiving compliments from the veterinary staff about how incredibly sweet and patient he is. ❤️

Batman will remain a sanctuary resident with us, where he’ll receive all the love, comfort, and care he deserves. We’ll continue to monitor him closely because, as always, his quality of life is our highest priority.

Thank you to everyone who donated toward these appointments and continues to support the rescue. Because of you, piggies like Batman get the chance to live out their golden years surrounded by love. 🐹💕
