False! Cats are a life long commitment of 13-20 years! They require exams annually (semi-annually for seniors!) to ensure they are healthy, as cats are known to be stoic! They are only recently domesticated in the past hundred years are still very wild at heart! They cannot show illness or weakness in the wild as this puts them in danger of begin preyed upon. It’s important to get a relationship with a cat only or cat friendly vet practice that is a safe and happy place for your cat to go. If you feel uncomfortable taking your cat to your vet, find a new vet! 😻
