Knowing what you will be doing for the day ensures that there is much less chaos.

I see people creating never ending to-do lists in the morning. Filled with menial tasks, chores, and other things that wont move the needle forward. Doing it like this may work a little bit, but you can be much more effecient if you just change how you set up your list for the day.

First, instead of writing everything that needs to be done, the day it needs to be done. Write down the top 5 things that need to get done for the day. THE NIGHT BEFORE. These will be things that have the highest importance and provide the largest results.

Next. Write everything that needs to be done, but can be done by someone else. And then Delegate it to someone else to do. So you can remain focused on your big 5. Once you finish the big 5, then you can help knock those out.

Then. Figure out everythig that can be done, but doesnt have a deadline or move the needle forward. These are things like cleaning the house, washing the car, running to the mechanic, and doing your shopping. Move these off and spread them out throughout the week. That way they are still getting done, but arent pulling you away from your big 5.

Finally. Anything that isn't important, or move the needle forward. Delete from the list. These are just time wasters or things that give you a little bit of mental ma********on. They aren't needed, and will more than likely only serve to hinder your progress.
