🦆🐢🦢 Wildlife Watching Without Leaving the Campground 🦢🐢🦆

One of the things our guests love most about Ocala RV Camp Resort is that we're close to everything Ocala has to offer and they still feel connected to nature.

Our pond is a favorite gathering spot for wildlife and guests alike. On any given day, you might spot graceful herons, snowy white egrets, ibis, ducks leading their ducklings on a morning swim, or turtles soaking up the Florida sunshine. Sometimes the wildlife puts on quite a show right outside your campsite!

Beyond the pond, our shady trees and open grassy areas attract all kinds of birds and other local critters, giving the park a peaceful, natural feel that's becoming harder to find.

Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee, taking an evening stroll, or simply relaxing under the trees, you never know what wildlife might stop by to say hello.

That's the best of both worlds—easy access to shopping, restaurants, and local attractions, combined with the beauty and tranquility of a campground surrounded by nature. 🌳🦆🐢

💡 RV Tips & Tricks: Keeping Wasps Out of Your Propane Compartment 🐝

If you've spent much time RVing, you've probably opened your propane compartment and found a few unwelcome guests. Wasps and bees are often attracted to the smell of propane, and many RVers are always looking for simple ways to keep them out.

One trick that has been passed around the RV community for years is placing pieces of a pet flea collar inside the propane compartment. The theory is that the flea collar's scent helps deter wasps and bees from making themselves at home around your propane system.

Some RV owners swear by it, while others aren't convinced it makes a difference. We haven't tested it enough ourselves to give it an official thumbs up or thumbs down, but we're curious what our fellow RVers think!

Have you tried the flea collar trick? Did it work for you? Or do you have another method that keeps wasps and bees away from your RV?

Drop your experiences and tips in the comments—we'd love to hear them!

And if you're traveling through North Central Florida, remember that our spacious, shaded sites give you plenty of room to enjoy the outdoors without feeling crowded. 🚐🌳
