SATURDAY MORNING UPDATE.❤ Four kittens are now reunited with momma, Shauna was able to trap the last kitten late yesterday. Thanks to Kelly Keppler for bringing him in to Mew ! A fifth kitten remains hospitalized with Dr. Nordt and is doing well. A decision to amputate the limb has not yet been made, still a chance it can be saved. We'll post when we get an update. FRIDAY MORNING UPDATE ! Rescue ongoing ! Shauna has been successful trapping three kittens, reunited with a very happy- to- see them momma here at Mew. The kitten hospitalized at Atlantic Animal Health stable, blood circulation has not yet returned to his paw and leg still swollen. It's touch and go on amputation of the limb at this time. There is one kitten interested in the trap but not cooperating with going in. If only he knew his life was about to change. Shauna will need help with transport from Northfield to Mew in Ocean City when the kitten does go into the trap. She's a critical care nurse on call with minutes to get to the hospital if needed and cannot be stuck in holiday traffic. Is there someone in the Northfield/EHT area who can bring the kitten to Ocean City when trapped? Please text 609-425-0058. help will be much appreciated to save this last kitten.

RESCUE CONTINUES TODAY to get kittens living under a dumpster at a Northfield apartment complex safe. This little one was very lucky to have been found by trappers Shauna and Rebecca late yesterday. He was tangled in string and rope, hanging under a nearby construction trailer. They were able to cut away much of the string to free him. A BIG thank you to Dr. Lori Nordt and Leah at Atlantic Animal Health for hospitalizing him. Shauna was able to hold "Mattix" while the imbedded string was cut away, wounds cleaned, pain meds and antibiotic on board. We'll know today whether blood flow will return to the leg or amputation of the limb is necessary. THANK YOU Rebecca and Shauna ! Watch for updates. www.capeatlanticcats.com
