Rainbows formed around a perfect moon
                        Burning fires deep within my heart,
The power we feel pulls us closer to the end
                                    The beginning of which will forever elude us.
 
Chasing rainbows around a perfect moon
Catching raindrops in the month of June,
Snowflakes falling without a sound
Sunbeams warming all around.

Wandering slowly along the surfs edge,
                                                                                                            
Footsteps falling silently on the damp brown sand                
A subtle breeze blows over the empty beach,
                        The illusion of a fine frost hangs in the air              
Each footfalls indentation slowly washed away,
                                     The rising tide never rests.                       
 
Tracing each step the shadow follows relentlessly,
            Like the ghost of a long lost heart              
Transcending the boundaries between light and dark,
                        Cast by the cool blue light of the full moon              
At times of unrest you’ll never be alone,
                                    Even in darkness the shadows never leave
Echoing the silence of the cold damp sands,
 Shadows from another time washed clean by the rising seas.
 
We saw a rainbow around the moon that night,
            The Pacific’s waves lapped gently at toes to cold to care
Cool and clear the night air soothed our souls,
                        The frost in the mist fresh against silken skin
Moonbeams shimmering through the rainbow bring sparkles to your eyes,
                                    Never silent never still the sands of time forge our destiny
Sins cleansed by the tides of yesterday,
                                                I chased a rainbow around the moon tonight…
