One of the early steps in custom CNC fabrication of stone countertops is trimming down a raw slab of material. All stone slabs - Granite, Marble, Quartz, etc - require a "trimming down process" before we can begin to custom fabricate your countertops. 1"-2" of material is cut from all 4 sides of a stone slab to allow for a clean start to fabrication. This process ensures all cuts moving forward are precise and all material used can meet our high edge-finish standards. Keep this process in mind as you plan your next stone project! While we work hard to maximize the material yield of each project, the slab size specifications of ALL stone slabs are a rough guide - true usable material is always less than noted.
