We would like to show our SUPPORT this month for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness. Be sure to like / share / comment to show you support those in the fight. We are on a mission to increase awareness of the disease and help put an end to a late stage diagnosis. -ACF

According to the American Cancer Society, pancreatic cancer is the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States surpassing breast cancer. In 2023 an estimated 64,050 Americans will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the U.S., and more than 50,550 will die from the disease. Pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers. 90% of pancreatic cancer patients will die within five years of diagnosis – the majority of patients are diagnosed at a distant stage, for which the 5-year survival is only 3%.

Today we remember those who have given their lives in service to our great country.

Without their sacrifice we would not be able to enjoy our freedoms as Americans. 🙌🏼

Memorial Day is a time to mourn and honor those brave warriors who made the ultimate sacrifice in order to protect our great nation and defend our freedoms, both on our own soil and abroad.

We're grateful for the time we had with them--our family, our friends, and our fellow Americans. We miss them dearly. As we continue on, may we live in such a way that honors their memory and sacrifice. -ACF

- Brain Tumor / Cancer Awareness Month. We would like to show our SUPPORT for those in the FIGHT, for those who SURVIVED, or to HONOR a loved one LOST to Brain Cancer! -ACF

Most brain tumors are not linked with any known risk factors and have no obvious cause. But there are a few factors that can raise the risk of brain tumors. The best known environmental risk factor for brain tumors is radiation exposure, most often from radiation therapy to treat some other condition.

WARNING SIGNS / SYMPTOMS

• Headaches
• Nausea and vomiting
• Changes in speech, vision, or hearing
• Problems balancing or walking
• Changes in mood, personality, or ability to concentrate
• Problems with memory
• Muscle jerking or twitching (seizures or convulsions)
• Weakness of some facial muscles
• Numbness or tingling in the arms or legs

Certain signs and symptoms could suggest that a person might have brain cancer. But tests are needed to confirm this. At this time, there is no sure way to prevent brain cancer! Early detection, age, type of tumor, and its location could determine the patients survival rate… If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, the best way to find it early is to report any possible signs or symptoms to your doctor right away!
