Flashback of my humbled beginning.. my “first” lash sets. I never knew where lashes were going to take me but I was obsessed. At the time when lashes came in my life, I was looking for something new and exciting in my career. I just needed a change.
When I first started it was probably the first time I ever heard of lash extensions. I have never gotten them myself. I was so intrigued by the service I just wanted to learn more. At the time, I decide to take an $800 dollar lash training but I didn’t have the confidence in providing my lash service.
It was a course that was offered where I recieved my esthetician’s license. So I thought it was definitely worth the class but I knew I needed more than just this one class to be successful.
I decided to go work at Amazing lash studio (definitely don’t recommend this place for new lash artist) and I didn’t receive the proper training.
I looked for other lash extension locations and decided to apply for a small lash Studio. They had amazing reviews and I was determined to get a job there. When I finally began to work at this location.
I met other lash artists who had various experience in the lash industry & different ways of working. I learned so much from these amazing artist & appreciated the integrity they had in their work. It is a beautiful experience to surround yourself with people who loved the same thing. We took so much pride in our work. It’s still a part of me now that I’m so grateful for. I was there for about almost 3 years before deciding to go on my own.
The best decision I’ve ever made. Honestly I truly believe all lash artists can go on their own. But working with mentors, learning from other artists and taking multiple training course made me the artist that I am today. I honestly miss having my girls to talk to about lash stuff. I loved that I was able to experience having a work environment with women who loved the same things and would encourage and share their knowledge to each other so that we can each grow in our own ways. I do miss having a lash family with me. I hope to have that again one day.
