Tara Garcia recently brought the uniform of her grandmother, PVT Crescencia Garcia, to the AWM for our 6888th exhibit. Garcia was assigned to the Six Triple Eight. Sadly, Garcia passed away in August at the age of 103. Garcia’s uniform will help interpret the story of women who served during World War II in the Courage to Deliver gallery.

Our CEO was asked by Reshma Saujani (founder of Girls Who Code and Marshall Plan for Moms) to join a focus group where she was able to represent military spouses who have children.
