Buyer/Expediter

Our business is expanding, and we are adding an additional Buyer/Expediter. This individual is responsible for both routine and non-routine, moderately complex purchasing functions following appropriate procedures for timely and accurate preparation. Will be required to pass a UA and physical.

Education and Experience
• Proficient in purchasing functions, general knowledge of contracts and general accounting procedures
• Understanding of the supply chain lifecycle
• Experience in a fabrication and manufacturing environment would be highly valued
• Understanding of sales tax applications would be highly valued
• Skilled in Excel and Word applications

Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• Accept material/product requisitions from managers, request quotes from vendors, enter orders into the purchasing system and issue PO’s to vendors
• Track purchase orders through all stages and managing deliveries
• Follow up with vendors for any discrepancies related to deliveries
• Create material RFQ’s
• Work with warehouse personnel to receive materials
• Maintain orders, pricing, certificates, etc.
• Other purchasing related functions, as assigned

Pipefitter

Our business is looking to hire pipefitters that can read blueprints, drawings, material specifications. This individual will be required to pass a UA and Physical.
Responsibilities:
• Review blueprints and understand requirements
• Set and modify specifications
• Measure and cut pipes according to requirements
• Weld and assemble pipes for welders
• Pull materials to meet Bill of Materials
• Palletize fittings by drawings specifications
• Follow safety guidelines and use proper protective equipment
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a pipefitter
• Good numerical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
