New chapter begins with ribbon cutting for two major I-20 Projects in Midland The projects have required extensive work, with traffic rerouted over the Midkiff and Cotton Flat bridges instead of beneath them during construction.

🚧 Midkiff & Cotton Flat Bridges Ribbon Cutting 🚧
Big changes are here! The Midkiff and Cotton Flat interchanges on IH 20 have been transformed to boost safety and traffic flow:
🔹 Bridge Flip: IH 20 now passes over Midkiff & Cotton Flat
🔹 Concrete Pavement: Mainlanes upgraded & widened for future 6-lane travel
🔹 Frontage Roads: Rebuilt with better drainage & new traffic signals
💰 Funding Breakdown:
Midkiff: $14.6M (MPO), $2M (MDC), $12M (State), $8.6M (Energy Sector)
Cotton Flat: $25M (BUILD Grant), $43.5M (State)
