Open Hand Ministry

In our ministry devotion time, before we open the doors, we've often talked about how God is so faithful to us-- not only in the ministry but to each of His children, and the world at large.

I don't want to walk by without thinking Him for what He's doing but so often I still do.

Today when I opened up my email I saw this.
The first thing I thought of was how faithful He is. Open hand is expensive. REAL expensive. I don't know how He does it, but He does!! (And has been for over 21 years ❤️)

I want to stop and acknowledge Him; whether this had been $2 or $1,000, He's able to make it work for His purposes.

I am thankful.

For many reasons but particularly this one, my family has never watched "The Chosen".... Too much LDS influence.

As I was doing my Bible study this morning, this picture came up as I was looking up a reference. It's very similar to a picture in an old book called "Men, Ships and the Sea" that I loved to sit and devour when I was child in the 60s.

That book of my dad's sits here in my study to this day (and may be one of the reasons I have a fear of the ocean!)

Long before I knew Christ, even as a kid, I knew we were all one step away from eternity....whether going down in the icy seas of the north Atlantic, or stepping into eternity by an unforeseen or unexpected event.

When I was 27, after years of being TERRIFIED to die, I surrendered to Him and have never been the same. You can't fix yourself, and your attempts to do so are useless - the Bible is very clear. There's not a single thing you can do to earn His favor but trust Him. ALONE.

If you have to work for it (or if you are saved by grace after all YOU can do), it wouldn't be grace.

This world is a mess. POLITICS CAN'T FIX IT. Do you know how to escape this sinking ship?

Please be praying that Open Hand would always rest comfortably in the provision that God has ALWAYS provided. He truly is amazing.

When we look around and see what's going on, with people crying out for help and their (understandable) fear, It would be easy for us to lose sight of the One who is in complete control.

Please pray for Open Hand; that we can not only provide the food for those that come in, but we can show them the Great Provider of everything-- Who loves them!

Please pray for wisdom, discernment, and the ability to see people as He does... That we would have a heart for them and understand their fear and anxiety.
