In Beaufort County, South Carolina, the rules and fines for dogs running at large and leash laws on the Fourth of July are as follows:
1. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas, including parks, beaches, and sidewalks. This is to ensure the safety of the dog and others around them.
2. If a dog is found running at large, the owner may be subject to fines ranging from $50 to $500, depending on the severity of the offense and any previous violations.
3. On the Fourth of July, when there are typically fireworks displays and large crowds, it is especially important to keep dogs on a leash to prevent them from getting scared and running away.
4. Owners are also encouraged to make sure their dogs have proper identification, such as a collar with tags or a microchip, in case they do get lost.
5. Beaufort County Animal Services may have additional specific regulations in place for the Fourth of July holiday, so it is recommended to check with them for any updated rules or restrictions.
Overall, it is important for dog owners to be responsible and considerate of others by keeping their pets on a leash and under control, especially during busy holidays like the Fourth of July. Failure to do so could result in fines and potential harm to the dog or others.

Drake is such a sweet boy! he is very calm for a German Shepherd. He isn’t jumpy, already knows sit, and is very receptive to training. He is good with other dogs and we think he would be a great family dog!
