This weekend, we were encouraged to grow in our sensitivity to God's voice and to remember that He has not left His children to navigate life alone.

Through His Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit, our Father continues to guide, correct, encourage, and direct those who follow Him. As we remain close to Him and respond in obedience, our lives begin to reflect the fruit of His work within us.

This week, make room to listen. Open His Word, follow where He leads, and trust that He is faithful to guide those who seek Him.

Sensitive to God's Voice | Pastor Mike Cornell | Oceans Unite Okeechobee Campus | Mike Cornell 07/12/2026

As children of God, we have been adopted into His family through Christ and invited into a relationship with our heavenly Father. Because of that, we can learn to recognize His voice as He speaks through His Word and by the inward witness of the Holy Spirit, which will never contradict Scripture.

God desires for His people to walk closely with Him, growing in obedience and becoming increasingly sensitive to His leading. As we remain rooted in His Word, respond to the Holy Spirit, and follow where He is working, our lives will bear the fruit that reflects Christ.

Every home is built on something. The question isn't whether we're building, it's what we're building on.

Jesus taught that a life founded on Him will stand, even when the storms come. As we seek Him first, keep His Word before us, and depend on Him each day, He shapes not only our own lives but the atmosphere of our homes and the generations that follow.

This week, take a moment to ask yourself: Is Christ simply present in my home, or is He truly at the center? One intentional step of obedience today can have an impact that reaches far beyond tomorrow.

Here are a few moments from a wonderful Sunday together.

Christ Centered Families | Pastor Mike Cornell | Oceans Unite Okeechobee Campus | Mike Cornell 07/05/2026

Every home is being built on a foundation, and Jesus makes it clear that only a life established on Him will stand when the storms come. Christ was never meant to be an occasional part of our lives or simply someone we acknowledge on Sundays. He is meant to be the center of our priorities, our decisions, and our homes.

As we consistently place God's Word before us, speak of it in our daily lives, and model it for the next generation, our faith becomes something that is lived rather than merely professed.

Joshua's declaration, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord," reminds us that a godly home is shaped by faithful obedience, not empty routine. Jesus also reminds us that lasting fruit comes only by abiding in Him, because apart from Him we can do nothing.

May our homes be places where Christ is not only believed in, but continually depended upon.

The thing you refuse to hear may be the thing keeping you stuck.

Everyone wants growth, but growth requires humility.

At Oceans Unite, we believe healthy feedback is a two-way street. We listen with humility, speak with clarity, and stay teachable so we can continue growing together.

Because healthy feedback doesnโ€™t tear people down.
It helps people go higher.

Communication that honors God starts with each of us. As we surrender our words, our attitudes, and our responses to the Lord, He shapes us to reflect Christ in every conversation and every relationship we encounter.

As we looked at what Scripture says about communication, we were reminded that our words carry great power. God calls us to speak truth with love, listen with humility, forgive quickly, and address conflict with courage instead of allowing assumptions or silence to create distance.

And Sunday didnโ€™t end after the message.

After the second service, we headed outside for baptisms. One by one, people stepped forward to publicly declare their faith in Christ, creating an atmosphere of joy, boldness, and celebration. Every person baptized was a life telling a unique story of transformation and new beginnings.

In moments like this, we stop to recognize what God is doing and celebrate the lives He is changing right in front of us. Yesterday was a powerful reminder that God is still moving, still saving, and still calling people into new life.

This is what itโ€™s all about. Praise Jesus for every salvation!

The Conversation You've Been Avoiding | Pastor Mike Cornell | Oceans Unite Okeechobee Campus | Mike Cornell 06/28/2026

Healthy relationships don't happen by accident. They are built through intentional, biblical communication.

Scripture reminds us that our words have the power to bring life or death, and the way we communicate can either strengthen relationships or create unnecessary division. God calls us to speak truth, listen with humility, forgive quickly, and address conflict with courage rather than avoiding it. As we take responsibility for the way we communicate, we reflect Christ and help cultivate healthy homes, families, and communities.

Ephesians 4:25-32
James 1:19-20

Matthew 18:15
