Alana was living on the streets of Palmira, where she gave birth to 10 puppies in heartbreaking conditions. Thankfully, Vanessa noticed them, reached out to us and now this family is under our wing. This is a very challenging case: after taking Alana to the vet and running full exams, we discovered that her health condition is high-risk, and sadly she cannot continue nursing or staying with the puppies.

Alana is currently being fostered by Doña Helena, while the puppies are being lovingly cared for by Vanessa and her family. At just two and a half weeks old, they require constant care and special formula feeding, which is a big challenge — but we are doing everything we can to give them the best chance.

Alana has already started treatment and is currently hospitalized due to severe anemia.
