When I originally first started this brand 5 years ago (shout out to starting my home decor booth in 2020 at a local antique mall), I wanted a name that felt personal and intentional. My name is Rachel Elizabeth, named after my great-grandmother, and the name has been in my family for hundreds of years. I took nicknames from both Rachel and Elizabeth and flipped them, and Elsie Rae was born. It has always felt special, intentional and meaningful. That’s the true heart of this brand, which is why it’s staying. It’s the foundation of everything I’ve built so far, and it will carry forward into this next chapter!

The switch from Elsie Rae Boutique to Elsie Rae & Co. is small, but meaningful. The ‘& Co.’ represents company — the kind of company that makes you feel at home, you share moments with, and walk through life together. Elsie Rae & Co. is not just a business, but a lifestyle brand and community for women who want to slow down, live with intention, romanticize the everyday, and find beauty in life’s quiet, ordinary moments.

When I chose a handwritten logo for Elsie Rae & Co., it wasn’t just for the aesthetic. I wanted something that felt human and imperfect. Something that looked like it could’ve been written in a journal. The handwriting represents everything Elsie Rae & Co. stands for — letting things be imperfect, romanticizing the everyday moments, and choosing intention over perfection.
