Microsoft's own data says MFA blocks 99.9% of account compromise attacks. Ninety-nine point nine.

And yet — I'd estimate fewer than half the businesses we first assess in WNY have it enabled on all accounts.

MFA takes about 3 seconds per login. That's it. Three seconds to make your account nearly impossible to hijack, even if your password gets stolen.

We enforce MFA on every client's Microsoft 365 environment, VPN connections, and remote access tools. It's not optional in our managed agreements because skipping it would be negligent.

If your IT provider hasn't turned on MFA for your entire team, ask them why. If the answer isn't convincing, call us.

The Role of AI in Modern Cybersecurity: What It Does, What It Can’t, and What It Means for Your Business - Acme Business 06/05/2026

AI in cybersecurity isn't a buzzword for us. It's the core of how SentinelOne works on every machine we manage.

Traditional security compares files to a list of known threats. AI-powered security watches behavior — what programs are doing, how they're accessing data, whether a pattern looks like ransomware even if the specific file has never been seen before.

That behavioral analysis is why SentinelOne catches zero-day threats that signature-based tools miss entirely.

But let's be honest about what AI can't do: it can't replace human judgment. It can't build your security policy. It can't train your employees. And it can't make business decisions about risk tolerance.

AI is a tool. A powerful one. But it needs humans behind it who understand your business.

5 Signs Your Business Has Outgrown Break-Fix IT, And What to Do About It - Acme Business 05/22/2026

You might need managed IT if:

1. You're calling the same "computer guy" every month — and the same problems keep coming back.
2. Nobody's monitoring your systems between those calls. If a backup fails at 3 AM, nobody knows until you need it.
3. You've had a security scare and realized nobody was watching.
4. Your IT person is also your office manager, your bookkeeper, and your copier technician. 5. You're spending more on emergency fixes than you would on a monthly plan.

Break-fix isn't a strategy. It's a prayer.

Managed IT means someone is watching your systems 24/7, patching before you ask, and planning for what's next — not just reacting to what broke.

If any of these sound familiar, it might be time for a conversation.

Every laptop, desktop, phone, and tablet connected to your network is an endpoint. Every one of them is a door into your business.

Traditional antivirus checked files against a known list of bad stuff. That worked in 2010. Today's threats don't show up on any list — they're new, they're custom, and they exploit behavior, not files.

Endpoint security (specifically EDR — endpoint detection and response) watches what programs do, not just what they are. If something starts encrypting files at 2 AM, it gets killed and rolled back.

That's exactly what SentinelOne does on every machine we manage.
Your antivirus subscription is not the same thing. It's not even close.
