Our thoughts and prayers are with the Derek Fisher Racing Updates team, Steve’s family, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him during this difficult time.

From all of us at Gunner Johnson Racing, we are deeply saddened by the loss of Steve Kincaid.

I had the privilege of becoming friends with Derek and Steve when I first started racing at a very young age at Richmond. From the very beginning, Steve always treated me with kindness and respect. Over the years, I always looked forward to seeing him at the track he was the kind of person who would help you any way he could, no questions asked.

That’s the kind of man he was.

We’re lifting his family, friends, and the entire team up in prayer—asking for strength, comfort, and peace in the days ahead.

Rest easy, Steve. 🏁

HB 282 — Troy’s Law — passed the Kentucky House with a 92–0 unanimous vote. That was a powerful moment for the men and women working in the towing industry across our state.

Now we are waiting for the bill to be assigned to a Senate committee, which will be the next step in continuing to move this legislation forward.

This bill is about protecting the towing operators who stand on the shoulder of Kentucky highways every day, helping motorists in some of their worst moments.

We are hopeful it will be placed in committee soon so Troy’s legacy can continue moving forward and help bring greater safety and visibility to the towing industry.

Please keep this effort and the hard-working men and women of the towing industry in your prayers as we move into the next stage.
