We adore the folks at Jas. Townsend for making keen historical clothing and especially props and accessories... but until today, we were unaware that they also sometimes produce a how-to!
Our costumer is often asked how to tie a cravat... here's a great place to start!
Men's Silk Cravat SC-372 at Jas. Townsend and Son, Inc. This Silk Cravat makes a handsome addition to any 17th, 18th, and 19th century gentleman's wardrobe. Approximately 13” by 69”. Woven with 100% silk thread. Hand-rolled and hand-stitched hems. Offered in white only, but you can easily dye your scarf if you wish.
