๐Ÿ“ฃPublic Announcement: Shared Housing Initiative Update

At Metro Housing Collaborative, a division of ReImagine, our mission has always been rooted in innovation, collaboration, and meeting housing needs with integrity.

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to place our Shared Housing Initiative on temporary hold.

This decision was not made lightly. Shared Housing has been an important strategy in helping individuals reduce housing costs, build stability, and access safe, affordable living arrangements. However, in order to operate this initiative responsibly and with the level of support participants deserve, it requires dedicated staffing capacity.

At this time, our current team does not have the bandwidth to sustain the program at the standard of excellence we hold ourselves to. Growing our capacity requires additional funding โ€” and as many of our partners know, the funding landscape is highly competitive right now. We are actively pursuing every viable opportunity to secure the resources needed to relaunch this initiative stronger and more sustainable.

This pause allows us to:

Protect the quality and integrity of our services

Ensure participants receive the support they deserve

Strategically position the program for long-term sustainability

We remain deeply committed to innovative housing solutions and to expanding options that prevent homelessness and increase affordability. Shared Housing is still part of our vision โ€” and we are working diligently behind the scenes to create the conditions necessary for its return.

We are grateful for our partners, property owners, funders, and community members who continue to stand with us as we navigate this evolving funding climate. Your continued support helps us strengthen the trajectory of housing stability in our community.

Together, we remain rooted in trust and driven by impact.
