REMINDER: update your beneficiaries.

I just realized I hadn’t added a beneficiary to an account so I updated it.

You can name a beneficiary on almost all financial, retirement, and insurance accounts to bypass the lengthy probate process.

Many people don’t have a beneficiary on all their accounts or they haven’t updated it with a change in circumstances (like death or divorce).

Make sure you have the correct person or people listed. You will be giving a gift of reducing their stress in the terrible situation something happens to you.
