Check out a new up-coming group from Omaha, Clark & Company. Recorded at OnTrack studios, produced by Johnny Ray Gomez IV. Clark & Company’s second album, “Larger World,” was released Friday, Nov. 28 at The Slowdown in Omaha.

Clark & Company was created by 17-year-old triplets from Omaha, Ne., with Sophie Clark on keyboard and vocals, Cooper Clark on acoustic and electric bass, and Simon Clark on drums and percussion. Sophie is also the songwriter for the group.

The band’s first album, “Three of Swords,” also produced by OnTrack, was released in January 2014. One of the songs from this album, “Battle Cry,” was named a finalist in the 10th Annual International Acoustic Music Awards, in the Best Group/ Duo category.

The band is also a nominee in the 2015 Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards, in the R&B / Soul category.

Clark & Company’s music incorporates many acoustic sounds and styles, including singer/songwriter, blues, soul, soft rock, and many other influences. Songwriter Sophie Clark is inspired by her own experiences and those of others, and she often uses metaphors in her lyrics. Her goal as a songwriter is for people to connect to her music in a way that is personal to them.

Sophie, Cooper, Simon and Cameron are seniors at Westside High School in Omaha.
