The Forged Father

2005, I was just finishing up college.

Was living the single life.

No kids.

Wasn’t sure what I wanted to do after college.

Thought about the Navy SEALS.

Or was I to pursue my dream of playing in the NFL??

As a 5’7, 170 lbs white dude… I was FAST AF, but it was a slim chance.

Maybe go on to grad school?

I was LOST and WITHOUT PURPOSE.

Had more FREE TIME than I knew what to do with.

So I started to party.

Smoking, drinking…

Just checking the boxes off in life.

Wasn’t until one morning I saw myself in the mirror.

Hungover AF, what I saw DISGUSTED me.

A soft, pudgy, slack-ass… I was drifting into unknown territory.

That was the exact punch in the face I needed.

The FEELING I had deep in my stomach made me sick.

And then there was this VOICE…

It told me to get my s**t together and MAKE A CHANGE IMMEDIATELY.

No more excessive drinking, smoking or late night partying…

Just FOCUSED & DISCIPLINED living.

That morning I MADE A COMMITMENT TO MYSELF.

NEVER AGAIN… would I look the way I did that morning…

With a soft pudgy gut and fat face.

NEVER AGAIN… would I feel the way I did that morning…

Lacking conviction and confidence in myself.

NEVER AGAIN… would I check the boxes off in life and WASTE MY TIME AWAY.

While I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do in life at that moment I knew ONE THING WAS FOR SURE:

That I was now on a RELENTLESS PURSUIT to build myself into an BADASS MOTHERFCKER.

An UNCOMMON MAN.

I wanted to feel like a SAVAGE…

LOOK like a SAVAGE…

And show up in life like a SAVAGE.

Leading into the SECOND PICTURE…

I’ve been happily married for nearly 12 years now.

I’m a father of 5 amazing kids.

And I’m BUSIER than ever…

Nearly 2 decades later the COMMITMENT I MADE THAT MORNING REMAINS THE SAME.

There’s NO TOLERATION for just checking the boxes in life…

Aside from being a dad and husband, I’m also leading a movement of men inside the Forged Father.

Helping fellow dads UNLEASH their inner UNCOMMON MAN.

This has become a large part of my PURPOSE.

A NEW path awaits inside Forged Father called, “UNLEASHED”…
