Innovative Ceramic Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) Tethon 3D (a long e Tēthon) takes its name from the Native American word for White Buffalo.

What surprises many people about Tethon is that our work extends far beyond additive manufacturing.

Through our acquisition of TA&T last year, we added decades of experience in traditional ceramic processing and advanced materials engineering, including:

• Hot pressing up to 1650 °C
• Cold isostatic pressing up to 30,000 psi
• Controlled-atmosphere heat treatment up to 1700 °C
• Polymer infiltration and pyrolysis (PIP) for advanced ceramic systems

These capabilities are not legacy processes sitting alongside additive manufacturing—they are strategic complements to it.

In advanced materials, some of the most meaningful innovations come from applying lessons from established processes to new manufacturing approaches. By combining additive manufacturing with deep conventional ceramics expertise, Tethon can accelerate material development and expand what’s possible in high-performance ceramic applications.

Tethon 3D will be exhibiting this spring at Amug, Ceramitec, and Rapid + TCT.

As additive manufacturing and advanced ceramics, continue to evolve, the conversation is shifting from experimentation to ex*****on. Materials performance, qualification, and repeatability are increasingly central to long-term success.

We look forward to engaging with partners building for scale.

Join our CEO next week at PacRim16 and GOMD 2025 in Vancouver!

He’ll be presenting “Tomorrow’s Additive Manufactured Ceramic Materials Look Nothing Like They Do Today” during the Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics and Composites symposium.

Catch his talk on May 7 at 10:50 AM in the Prince of Wales room at the Hyatt Regency.

We’re excited to be part of the conversation shaping the future of ceramics!
