We are proud to introduce Collective of Color Omaha, a new community-driven directory created by clinicians of color for our community.

As therapists of color, we recognized a gap in the community. People are searching for therapists who understand their experiences, culture, and identity, but often cannot find us. We decided to change that.
Collective of Color Omaha was created to bridge that gap and make culturally responsive mental health care easier to access.

Here you will find:

✨ Resources to help you begin or continue your healing journey.

✨ A blog that shares mental health education, personal reflections, and tools for growth through a culturally grounded lens.

One thing I always say is you can't focus on healing when you're just trying to survive.

That's why I'm so proud of our Nurture and Thrive program at TRC. Because of the funding we received from I Be Black Girl, we've been able to remove some of the real-life barriers that stop people from prioritizing their mental health.

Maslow teaches us that if your basic needs aren't met, you literally can't focus on anything else. And it's true. You can't process trauma when you're worried about where you're sleeping, how you're eating, or if you’re even safe.

But now, thanks to this support, our clients are able to come in and focus on the focus. They can show up for themselves in therapy because the foundation is being handled. That’s what real support looks like.

✨ The Relationship Corner (TRC) is a nonprofit mental health & wellness organization specializing in healing relational trauma and promoting whole-person wellness.

We’re proud to do therapy differently — with programs rooted in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and focused on meeting people where they are.

There is ONE therapist who works FOR TRC — that’s me! 👋🏿

I bring all of those lenses into our work — because people are complex, healing is layered, and no single approach works for everyone. I am NOT very clinical. I don't use buzz words or terms. I build relationships and have real conversations that anyone can understand because healing shouldn't go "over your head".

There are others housed in the building, but they work for themselves.

As part of our rebrand, we also want to clearly define our core programs:

And just so there’s no confusion — We are working to create COMPLETE SEPARATION between the nonprofit and for profit so there is no question as to what's what!
