πŸŽ‰πŸ“š That's a Wrap on Another Incredible School Year! πŸ“šπŸŽ‰

As the school year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate the amazing work of our Prevention Education Team and the impact they've made throughout our community.

This year, our dedicated team:

✨ Delivered 66 speaking engagements to schools, community groups, and organizations

🧠 Educated 128 students about the effects of cannabis on the growing brain and the importance of making healthy choices

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Helped 19 parents and caregivers build stronger family connections and learn new skills through our parenting classes

🏫 Reached 90 classrooms with prevention education programming

πŸ“’ Participated in 12 community events, health fairs, and outreach activities

πŸ’™ Engaged a total of 2,440 youth, parents, educators, and community members through prevention education initiatives

None of this would be possible without the support of our schools, community partners, families, and the young people who continue to inspire us every day.

As we head into summer, we're proud of the relationships we've built, the knowledge we've shared, and the positive impact we've made together. Thank you for helping us create healthier, safer, and stronger communities.

Have a safe, fun, and healthy summer! β˜€οΈ

πŸ’š - Follow Up.

The conversation doesn’t end after the first check-in.

Be the 1 to reach out again.

After you’ve connected someone to immediate supports, follow up to see how they’re doing.

βœ” Send a text.
βœ” Leave a message.
βœ” Make a phone call.
βœ” Stop by if appropriate.

Ask how things are going.
See if they were able to connect with the resources discussed.
Follow through on anything you offered to help with.

Sometimes the most powerful message is:
β€œI’m still here.”

Why does this matter?

Ongoing contact increases feelings of connectedness and reinforces support. Research shows that even simple outreach β€” such as sending a caring message β€” can reduce su***de risk.

Studies have found reduced su***de deaths among high-risk individuals who received follow-up contact after discharge from acute care services. Brief, low-cost, supportive check-ins can be an important part of su***de prevention.

Consistency builds connection.
Connection builds hope.
