Texture in the landscape goes a long way to creating an interesting garden. Mixing upright planting with horizontal or globe plants. Fine texture with coarse.
There isn't much colour in this picture but it has texture so it works.
As a landscape designer I am thinking about all the details.

Boxwood Blight has been bad this past year and so you might have been hit already. But if you haven't, here is a bit of information on it.
