Fireworks are a blast, but disposing of them safely is just as important.

As you celebrate this 4th of July this weekend, help protect your family, your sanitation workers, and your community by properly disposing of used fireworks.

Before placing fireworks in your garbage cart:
1. Soak them in water until they are completely saturated💧
2. Place them in a plastic bag to keep them wet 🛍️
3. Then place the sealed bag in your garbage can 🗑️

A few extra minutes can help prevent fires and keep everyone safe.
