12:02 AM — The Tornado Watch for St. Landry Parish has expired, though winds will remain gusty through the rest of the night. The main severe weather threat has ended. A Red Flag Warning will be in effect Monday, so please do not burn anything. We are also watching the potential for a freeze Monday night into Tuesday morning.

* Until 1030 PM CST.

* At 956 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Prairie Ronde, or near Opelousas, moving east at
45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.

Opelousas, Port Barre, Washington, and Grand Prairie around 1000
PM CST.
Palmetto and Lebeau around 1005 PM CST.
Melville around 1015 PM CST.
Bayou Current around 1025 PM CST.

This includes Interstate 49 between mile markers 20 and 36.
