Public service announcement.
I do not owe anyone a dog.

I do not owe anyone explanations, hand holding, instant replies, or emotional labor just because you feel like you deserve a dog. And I sure as hell do not owe anyone access to a rescue dog just because they have big opinions and threaten to share them on Facebook.

Rescue is volunteer based.
It's me busting ass cleaning cages, feeding and medicating dogs twice a day, sorting through hundreds of messages, applications, vet records, and taking care of actual traumatized dogs who do not need to be placed in homes that will traumatize them even more. This is not customer service at Target. This is what I do in my free time and I sure as hell am not going to waste my free time on your insensitive messages when there are dogs to bathe and applications to be processed.

If I raise a concern about something on your application - That is not an attack on your character, your career, your house size, your golden retrievers, or your ego. It’s literally me giving a s**t about the dog's safety. Wild concept.

Also, for clarity:
* Applying to adopt does not mean you’re “doing me a favor.”
* It is not MY responsibility to track down your vet records. You should be having those on hand at all times regardless.
* Being an entitled as***le doesnt give you a free ticket to an apology and a dog. It will get you publicly humiliated and blocked from my rescue page. We dont have a reputation we need to protect - we have dogs we need to protect.
* Threatening to “post everything on Facebook” is not the power move you think it is.
Dont make a fool out of yourself.

If my adoption process makes you angry, defensive, or personally offended, congrats - it worked. You just wrote yourself a denial letter. That actually saves me time, so thank you for calling yourself out.

I will always choose the dog over your feelings.
Every single time.
Thats what rescue is.
It's rescuing a dog.
You just get the privilege of adopting them.
Stop attacking me over it.
