Standard PTFE offers excellent chemical resistance and low friction, making it a reliable solution across a wide range of industrial environments. Expanded PTFE (ePTFE), on the other hand, provides added flexibility and conformability, helping create a stronger seal on uneven or damaged fl**ge surfaces. Expanded PTFE is also an excellent choice with its low seating stress for FRP (fiberglass reinforced pipe) and HDPE (high density polyethylene) pipe where lower bolt loads are commonly used.
