The stats:

About 40% of Utah men reported using standalone greetings like “Hey” as their first message on dating apps at least half the time.

56% of Utah women report dislike for that type of first message.

Instead- if you’re a single guy, try asking about their hobbies, or reference something in their bio or profile. Women like that much more.
