(THE BOY IN THE BLUE HAT) - FRIENDLY HOSTILE

“THE BOY IN THE BLUE HAT“ was first inspired by Liam Conejo Ramos, the little boy who became a symbol of the opposition to U.S. immigration raids after being photographed in a distinctive blue knitted bunny hat while being detained by I.C.E. agents in Minnesota in January 2026. This piece is a call back to the movie “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” to show how similar these two time periods where we live in today.
