Food Shift Kitchen Manager supervises kitchen duties by managing the pantry, inventory, controlling how food is stored and prepared and delivers meals to a set off-site location.

Successful Kitchen Managers guide a kitchen staff to deliver quality, timely food and ensure that all customers are satisfied. Some of the main duties include:

Ensuring that all food items and products are stored, prepared and served based on the company's recipe, preparation and portion standards.

Ordering kitchen materials and ingredients based on the menu and market demand.

Supervising food preparation in the kitchen and ensuring the efficiency and safety of kitchen staff.

Maintaining adequate inventory levels and conducting weekly inventories

Working with company owner to create menu items, and establishing portion sizes of each meal.

Overseeing employees to ensure the safe operation of kitchen equipment and utensils and the proper handling of heavy items and hazardous materials.

Food Shift Prep Cooks perform various food preparation, cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for our clients. Their duties and responsibilities include:

Completing all tasks, in order, on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen manager

Labeling Prepped Meals and stocking for pick-up.

Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and meats

Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients

Parboiling food, reducing sauces and starting first steps in various dishes

Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash and sanitizing kitchen.

Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards.

Keeping track of ingredient inventory and collaborating with other kitchen and management staff to order resupply.
