110 lbs lost together since October 11 — update from January 15

I’m writing this as a wife who left the doctor’s office shaking. The doctor looked at my husband (66) and said plainly: “His knees won’t handle this much longer, and this level of strain is very dangerous for his heart.” In that moment, everything felt frighteningly real.

We had told ourselves the pain was just aging. But hearing the word heart changed everything.

Back in October, my niece shared an article explaining how chronic inflammation and toxins overload the body and force it to hold on. For the first time, nothing felt like our fault.

Now, on January 15: less pain, calmer energy, and 110 lbs lost together.
