Aunt Farm

by Catherine Richardson
Creating a new Aunt hill each aunt can hold ten times their own weight, even with being so small in size. The wonderful Aunts are building a new home, this Aunt hill is their summer place. The worker Aunts will build onto a smaller Hill, buy carving out a ten foot hole in the back of the small mound to make room for new families being born each year, the worker Aunts will take the fallen sand, by combining melted wax the honey bees gave to them for the new build. The Aunts pour water and dirt into the sand, melt down the wax in a small fire to use as glue.
Day in and Day out the Aunts work on making a new summer home, their families stay with them to see the new Hill take shape from a small hill to a three story Aunt hotel. Behind the hotel was swimming pools, grilling stations, ball courts and a relaxing salt water hot springs pool.
Like the birds even the Aunts like to fly south for the winter, so if you ever see a line of Aunts heading to the end of the road carrying their suitcases on their backs, don’t worry they will be back in the spring.
