The guitar is one of the few instruments that really can be played with a reasonable skill pretty quickly. You can work for years to polish your skills and learn new tricks, but the basics can be grasped with a relatively limited number of lessons. Why not try it?

Violins come in different sizes, which is good for some of the younger children wishing to learn to play violin. However, if you’re over the age of 13, you should really only consider full size violins, sometimes referred to as a 4/4 violin.

It’s important to remember that learning to play an instrument is about so much more than simply making it produce the sound you want. If you’re playing it incorrectly, you may find it more difficult to pick up the advanced techniques as you progress.
